Remains of a cyanide vat for processing gold ore at Lewiston, Wyoming. A true "ghost town", Lewiston once boasted a population of over 100, 25 buildings,with 4 saloons, a boarding house, a hotel, a livery and general store. The Wind River Mountains can be seen in the distance.

ET Fisher Gold Dredge

The dredge was brought across the prairie from Rock Springs, Wyoming to Atlantic City, Wyoming in the early 1930's. The dredge operated until 1941, when gold was declared a non-strategic metal, and mining was ordered to stop. The dredge removed hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold, and still stands where it ceased operations.
